Adenotonsillectomy / tonsillectomy is my most common surgical procedure and I have done many safe procedures over the last 20 years on both children and adults.

A few facts:

Surgery is not always necessary.
A parent can join the child in theatre initially, until he/she sleeps.
An excellent specialist anaesthetist will meticulously look after the patient.
The child is usually discharged 2½ hours post operation, after my post operation visit.
Adults stay overnight.
I am available on emergency number post operation (013 653 8001) (If not it will personally be arranged).
